Process — step by step

1–3 working days from CR issuance to active GOSI account.

  1. Employer registration. Register the employer entity via the GOSI portal using the CR number and authorised signatory's Iqama.
  2. Worker enrolment. Enrol each worker (Saudi or foreign) within 30 days of hire. Failure triggers SAR 1,000+ penalties per worker.
  3. Wage protection (Mudad). Salaries are paid via the WPS / Mudad system, which auto-syncs with GOSI contributions.
  4. Monthly contributions. GOSI auto-calculates contributions monthly from Mudad payroll data; payment due by the 15th of the following month.
  5. Annual reconciliation. Annual reconciliation captures bonuses, allowances and end-of-service settlements for accurate contribution base.

Documents required

  • Active CR
  • Authorised signatory's Iqama
  • Bank account details
  • Worker passport, Iqama, contract for each enrolment

Common mistakes

  • Late worker enrolment — SAR 1,000 per worker per month of delay
  • Underdeclaring salary base to reduce contribution — full audit + 100% penalty
  • Forgetting to enrol Saudi workers in SANED unemployment scheme — separate penalty track
  • Not reconciling annual bonuses — back-payment + interest
